I have been meaning to write more w new baby and job, but I've been a busy man! Quick notes AJ includes a resistor on the rear terminals allowing you to use one amp. In this non-adjustable one amp configuration things work extreamly well. I would say if you purchase, hold off on amp 2 and see how you feel about the performance with the resistor. I would go active if you can afford it, or are not using a sub, however the passive performance is great and blends with my sub better than any other sealed speaker I have had. Still it's hard to beat active bass. Send me a few test track ideas people and I will take some notes for you over the holiday. All I can say is that I am incredibly pleased

I listened to a floorstanding version of the Monitor 2 at LSAF 2013. Very smooth and dynamic, like a smaller version of the 1812 Overture sound.

I am still very happy with these. If you have any questions shoot away Anyone else have a pair? I know one gentleman may take delivery in a bit. These speakers really deserve serious consideration for those in the market for speakers just under $2000.

Any format restrictions? With all the super high resolution stuff these days it's always good to ask.
