new Bryston integrated?
« on: 12 Jul 2004, 09:52 pm »
In the Audio Ideas Guide review of the 3B-SST, the reviewer states that Bryston would be releasing an integrated amplifier version of the 3B "next year".  This was in 2002.

Any news on this?  Has it been delayed?  Cancelled?

There is a previous thread on this subject from last summer. The last I heard was late this year at the earliest.

Not only a new integrated but my dealer told me they're going to be getting a 2BSSTC soon (100 watts per ch.).  Apparently there are new cosmetics too.

hmmm.... interesting.... wonder what the "C" in 2B SSTC stands for?

I assume this is the replacement power amp for the 2B?

I notice the 2B power amp is no longer listed on the new Bryston website... speaking of which, I think I prefer the old site - easier to navigate and the font was more readable.

The 2B-LP is staying in the line but as a Pro unit only.
The 2B SST (100 watts x 2) will be available in about 2 months. The C stands for "Consumer"
The new Integrated B100 SST will be based on this new 2B SST.

Thanks James:

Does the B100 incorporate quad-complementary design?
Captive cord or IEC socket?
Can I fit spades more easily to the posts? (taller case?)
Pricing??

Is their going to be any cosmetic changes to the rest of the SST range or any other changes to the current range

HI Jethro,

NO - it is an integrated 100 watt per channel stereo amp. It will have optional DAC's and Phono available.
