I mentioned this deal to my girlfriend and she assumed I wanted a pair. She then asked me what I would get rid of. Because that's how we roll now. If I want something new I have to give up something.

Both the X-LS and X-LS Encores are great sounding speakers. I have built a number of pairs of X-LS Encores for others and can testify to the fact that they sound amazing good. The price that Danny is selling these for is a fantastic deal as well as the other AV123 parts kits he is offering. Anyone wanting to build a pair of excellent sounding speakers at a bargain price should seriously consider one of these kits.

Few questions about the box construction as I was thinking of doing some bigger roundovers and chamfering on the edges of the kit for cosmetics.

1 - What thickness is the wood (.75 I'm assuming)?
2 - How are the joints constructed (butt, mitered, brads, etc)?
3 - I also don't see reliefs for the woofers behind the mounting holes - this this also missing in the ones shipping?

No problem. Just go over them with a larger radius bit.

I am pretty sure butt joints were used.

A 1/2" radius is cut on them prior to shipping.
