ASL 1003DT Tube Rolling Suggestions
« on: 5 May 2013, 09:59 pm »
I am looking for some opinions on rolling the tubes in my Antique Sound Lab 1003DT. I have been pretty happy with it over the past year or so, but feel the need for a change. I am looking for something has a more open sound and/or maybe a bit more aggressive. I currently am using a combination of Mullard and Sylvania for the input and driver tubes. I have read a few places that people were having great success with swaping out the 12AU7 for 12BH7's. Any one tried this and care to share their thoughts?

Haven't tried the bh7 sub but does it not require double the heater current?

There are lots of 12au7 variants. Have you ehausted them all?
