I'm going to switch c3 to a Black Gate on my nirvana'd 55w.  Just curious if anyone has changed the emitter resistors to Mills or others, and, more importantly, if there was any improvement or change in the sound.  Figured I'd switch those out too while I was under the hood.  I guess people have used the MRA-5, 0R50 model?

You can certainly change the emitter resistors to thick film types, with a very slight enhancement, but not much, scarcely discernible......

Changing C3 will bring benefits, no doubt about it.
