John, have you compared Fabfilter Pro-Q in your setup vs. the AUNBandEQ plug-in built into AU Lab? The Fabfilter UI wins hand's down, no contest, but that becomes less important once the filters are established, so I was curious as to whether you notice a difference in the actual acoustic presentation.
(I'm using AUNBandEQ for driver EQ, while an active analog line-level crossover handles the frequency splitting between the drivers in my active system.)
Have others run into other challenges?
My setup is starting to get more complicated, as I'm using an Aggregate Input Device that combines the (optical) Built-In Input (used when I connect my TV/Blu-Ray/etc.) with the Soundflower input (used when streaming music). This is a new build still in-work, so I have yet to move on from iTunes, but eventually I'll give some of the other players (Audirvana+, Pure Music, Amarra, etc.) a shot and how well they integrate into this environment as well, complete with the various "hog mode", "integer mode", etc..
Thanks!
