Can a Outboard Hard Drive Have a Sound of its Own?
« on: 24 Apr 2013, 08:35 pm »
What is the experience on using different outboard hard drives?
That is my general question; my specific question is does anybody have experience with the NewerTech miniStack Max DVD/CD read write hard drive.   http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/MSMXDW1.0TB7/

In my opinion, hard drives cannot have a 'sound', properly speaking. They can be quiet, reliable, have very fast data access, be aesthetically pleasing, and have other features such as connectivity to distinguish them.

I have an old NewerTech MiniStack that I used my trusty G4 Mini, I liked it. The new one with the optical drive looks pretty dope, feature wise.
