9.9 Power Supply Tubes

I currently own the 2nd Gen 9.0 PS and was curious about the new 9.9. I have read through all the tube rolling threads here and what Rectifier Tubes can be used in the 9.0.
Is there a list, or can Modwright prepare a list of "acceptable" Rectifier Tube in the new 9.9 to post here? Or is it still better to send off an email asking about each particular tube and if it is compatible.
I see from the 6Moons review they were using the "elephantine" 5U4G sticking out the top, and I also saw where Modwright will sell you a top with a hole, and you can buy an extra top with no hole.

It is always best to ask, but the ones I know of are:
5U4G
GZ34
GZ37
596
I would think that a 5U4GB would also be fine.

I am using the 9.9 Power Supply on the Oppo/Modwright 105 set up and the popular tube ( stock Sovtek ) is the Vintage Mullard GZ34,which I am currently using..I have found this tube is a great tube, but for me this Mullard seems to be a bit too warm for my taste..Another that I hope to try soon is the 5R4Gy..( Larger tube requiring a larger hole in the top of the p/Supply ) which is supposed to be a touch more neutral than the Mullard GZ34..Another GZ34 ( more Nuetral sounding ) tube, which I have not yet tried is the Create/Synergy 5AR4...Hope to try that soon also..It really is about finding the right sounding tube to fit that spot..Its all about System Synergy///I would recommend trying the Vintage Mullard GZ34 first and go from there..........Hope that helps ?

Nice Info, but still do not know about using the 5R4GYS tube in the 9.0
Have used the Synergy, Mullard Fat Base, Brown Base, Black bass, 4 notch, 6 notch, etc. etc. Seeing what else i could use/try before possibly moving to the 9.9
