These monoblocks in the newer black faceplate deliver 300 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load or 150 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load. I used these with a Bel Canto DAC-3 and a Bolder modded Squeezebox Touch with a linear power supply as the source. The speakers were Morel Octave 5.2, which are inefficient (83 dB/W/m), but sound great. These amps had no problem driving them. They are neutral and true to the source, but never sound harsh. Since owning them I have become much better able to hear the formerly missing details that were hidden on my CDs and FLAC files. On top of that they are extremely energy efficient and are true high tech wonders. Any online search will yield many other online reviews that also attest to their great features. These amps have been recently given a clean bill of health by Bel Canto, since I had them in storage for a while and didn’t want to sell before ensuring everything was kosher. The amps come with Bel Canto double boxes and manuals. However, while the outer boxes have the right description sticker, the inner boxes do not. They are original Bel Canto though, and are just mis-labeled Ref 1000 and Ref 500s. I am asking $995 and I only accept PayPal and ship to PayPal verified US addresses. Shipping will run about $75 for the pair (48 contiguous states; AK and HI will be more) and will be paid by the buyer.
Thanks,
Ajay
