Recently purchased a pair of cherry Omen Definitions from audiogon. Had speakers about three weeks, initially was very impressed with them as they gave a totally different presentation to cd's and albums I've had known for years. But quite honestly over these three weeks I find that I prefer my older speakers. I currently own a pair of Odyssey Audio Lorelei's. The Omens give a forward presentation right up in your face as compared to my old speakers ,and are quite dynamic!!. This caught me at first but I also noticed that the Lorelei's put out more bass and over all had a more full bodied sound in spite of coming from behind the speakers.
These speakers received a bit of damage on route to me as their was no damage in any of the pictures the seller provided,but these Knicks (one on lower corner ,the other on top corner of same speaker) are a bit noticable. I would rate these speakers as 7 out of 10 but realize they are not for me though I really wanted to like them. I can email pictures to anyone interested. Lastly I thought I would be keeping them as I don't change gear all that often so no box's local sales only. Asking $1,500
