[SOLD] FS: Jasmine LP2.0 MKII Phono Preamplifier

This ad is for the Jasmine LP2.0 MKII Phono Pre-amplifier...

Last year I purchased a turntable because my girlfriend was into vinyl and I wanted her to enjoy the stereo with me.  Unfortunately she's now gone, and the whole analog enterprise is simply too complicated to learn... too many variables for me to obsess over.  In any case, I'm now selling my turntable and phono pre.  See my other ad for a well-kept and little used Rega P3-24.

The Jasmine is a fully-adjustable MM/MC preamp with a separate power supply.  I'm asking $450.  One was recently sold here on AC in December for $475.  The unit is a true 9 on the audiogon scale.  It's as new; simply broken in and ready for your listening pleasure.  Buyer to pay shipping and any paypal fees incurred.  You can see my perfect feedback on Audiogon under cal3713.  I have all of the original packaging.

I've compared this unit to the phono-stage in a Classe CAP-151 and a PS Audio GCPH and it won hands down.  The PS Audio unit was unlistenable in comparison, and I say that as an owner of their PerfectWave DAC.

Phillip Holmes review:  http://dagogo.com/jasmine-lp2-0-se-phono-preamplifier-review (this was a previous version before the MKII upgrades)

Excerpts from that review:  "The combination of SME V/Lyra/Denon DP80/Record clamp/periphery clamp and Jasmine produced more micro-dynamic realism, stereo spread, and top-end detail than any other combination I’ve recently used...  This was one of the few transistor components that seemed able to reproduce dimensionality the way tubes can... There is the breath of life with Jasmine, something that before I had only heard with tube phono stages. It has very good dynamics, excellent soundstage width, and good high frequency extension/quality like tubes. Overall, it sounded very lifelike. After the first week, the preamp was as quiet as any I’ve had in my system. Wanting to affirm what I was hearing, I took the unit to a friend whose hearing I trust. He compared it to a Levinson 25s with PLS-226 power supply and preferred the Jasmine. That’s not meant as a slam on the Levinson, but as a compliment to the Jasmine."

I'll post some close-up images in the next couple days... I just have to borrow a digital camera from work.  The picture below shows the two boxes of the Jasmine on the right side of the media cabinet under the TV bezel.

Let me know if you have any questions.  I'm in Louisville, CO (and Boulder) if anyone wants to audition or avoid shipping fees.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Great phono pre-amp...I have one for my Clearaudio/Zu-Denon103r cartridge and it has awesome synergy.  Much better than the Nighthawk I used before it.

Thanks Chris!

Hi poster,
Great name - do you watch Rules of Engagement
I catch it sometimes and find it pretty funny.

I have the SE which will be up for sale real soon.
I will be using it with my new Bobs 1131 SUT,
Dynavector 20x2l, AT OC911.
You should try to borrow a SUT to try w/ your 103r.
I had Bobs first version that I used with a Denon
DL-S1 and it really elevated the performance of that
cartridge. I had an accident and bent the cantilever.
Wanted to try something with higher output.

I had the nighthawk also, could not warm up to it.
