Stacking Bryston Components
« on: 14 Apr 2013, 05:56 pm »
I have the following Bryston components:
    BCD-1
    BDP-1
    BDA-2
    BP-17
    BHA-1

I need to stack at least some of them.  These components are very heavy and even though they are built like tanks I'm concerned about stacking too many of them.

I know the headphone amp has to go on top because of the heat it generates but if I did stack these components, is there some practical limit on the number that is sensible?

Anyone have some advice for me?

Thanks in advance,

Bud

I have six Bryston components stacked for over two years and there's no problems.
not really even warm and they are on 24/7.
Amps I have just on standby.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know.

I have found that my BDA-2 and BDP-2 sound better separated than stacked. Subtle, but enough hear. Not a heat issue of course. Fortunately I have the shelf space, for now.

I have a lot of experimenting to do.  I'll have more room when I get rid of my analog gear.
