Anyone know of a pair of these, the 846A 16 ohm version, available in these here parts?

Actually there is. Chris (MerRev) has a pair. Not sure if he wants to part with them as he'll be using them as bass bins for his Lowther OB setup. Those have the 416 woofers and the 811 horns. As some are just realizing, the 416-16 ohm woofer is the cat's pajamas...I've been running them for years as my bass bins.


Not sure if you can use them but I've got a pair of 511 horns with the 802D drivers and a pair of N-500 crossovers. I'd let them go cheap (locally). I could probably scrounge up a pair of 416s too if you needed them.

Thanks for the kind offer, yet I'm needing a complete deal... cabinets, etc.
My wood working skills are iffy at best- well, that's another story.
Yes, they need to be the A's at 16 ohm.  Lowthers? Bleh. Poor cabinets... :)

Now you know I tease cause I love....look at it this way, in the old days of retail, all the sales people that thought they knew something made fun of Cerwin Vegas...now it's Lowthers...you know I'm clueless...

Be warned, I'm coming sometime...batten down the hatches...

they do look very mbl-y....  I know I'd have cobwebs on those frames in 4 days....I'm still curious why they aren't stacked on top of the bass cabinets..the Germans would do it like that....one must have time alignment....
