Peachtree iNova Upgrade
« on: 7 Apr 2013, 04:40 pm »
I purchased the iNova Integrated Amp with the Peachtree D5 speakers about a year ago for a two-channel audio system. I love the combination but I just don't have room for a stand-alone two-channel audio system AND my normal A/V rig hooked to the TV. I'm thinking of using the D5s as my front speakers with a sub but not sure what to do with the iNova (which is a great piece of gear).

Anyone know of a very musical AV receiver in the sub $2,000 range? I guess I'd be looking at Denon or Marantz.

Does anyone have experience using the iNova in the HT bypass mode?

Sorry if this is not the right circle to post to. I'm long-timer lurker but first time poster here.

You're in the correct Circle Craig, sorry you're not getting any love.  :(
The two brands you mention, I would assume they'd be musical, but I can't say from experience. not in that price range at least.

Check into Harman Kardon too. Mine sounded awesome (AVR645, $1600 MSRP seven years ago).

I saw this thread on the topic that might help.

Any receiver with pre outs would work as well.  If your bank was unlimited the Bryston SP3 has a bypass mode but between it and amplification you would be around $17K and not $1.7k.  The Marantz SR7007 looks sweet!
