Mr. Ebert was my favorite critic.  I estimate that I've read over 500 of his reviews, and I watched his show back when he & Siskel were on it together.  He was a titan to me, the best critic I've ever read.  His knowledge of film was nearly unparallelled, and his passion and enthusiasm was contagious.  I didn't always agree with his opinions on a film but I read enough of his material to understand from his opinion what I would probably think.  That made his reviews valuable to me.

He'll be greatly missed.  I don't see anyone else out there that can take his place.  RIP, Mr. Ebert!

Agreed, Rob.  Siskel, too.  Doubt they will ever be matched.

I've been watching Siskel and Ebert since I was a kid...was super saddened by the news.

I remember him when I was a kid too. Both of them. There was no internet, no Rotten Tomatoes, you had Siskel and Ebert. They made the decision for me several times. RIP.
