Hi all Audio Circle members.
Even if I don’t believe that a heavy turntable sub base will make any improvement on the sound of my Rega P3,
I said to myself:
Guy don’t be narrow minded and try it.
Total cost of this trial 25 USD.
The marble plate does look very thick,
but once I had it in my hands, I said:
Holy cow, this thing is heavy.
I’ve used some hot glue to make sure the marble plate does not move.
I always learn a little something with every one of my projects.
This project is no exception.
I’ve learn that with hot glue you must position everything fast, because if you make a mistake, there are no return.
My marble plate was not 100% positioned right
and I had a hard time making the fine adjustments,
but I did it, lucky me.
That’s why my name is: Guy 13.
As you can see below, it’s leveled.
Time will tell if I hear an improvement on the original sound
and even if I don’t hear nothing different, I will keep it.
It look nice, doesn't it?
Guy 13
