Headphones supports Made in Vietnam.
« on: 1 Apr 2013, 01:38 pm »

Hi all Audio Circle members.
I think Headphone Mania is the right circle for my post.

I made those headphones support with some help from my cabinet maker and from the guy that sells me and engraves the plastic sheets for my Audio 13 logos.

I glued the wood together with some screws to make sure it does not fall apart later on, I spray painted and install screws to hold the plastic cover and I have installed some rubber feet. (Can’t see them, but they are there, believe me.

My first attempt without being a complete failure was not a success.
It looks a little light, cheap or flimsy.

For my second attempt, I’ve used thicker plastic and made it larger and higher.

I’ve decided to go ahead with that was a small project, after I saw the prices of similar supports from some manufacturer.
It was fun and made me save a bucket full of money.
Total cost of this project:
8 USD (Small) and 10 USD (Large).

Hi Noseyears and all Audio Circle members.
I wish I could have more tool and skill.
I could save more money, have more fun building things
and save time trying to explain to the cabinet maker what I want.
Thanks.

Guy13 as a first attempt not bad. Can you obtain a hairdressers Styrofoam head ?  If so paint it and try.

Any time is fine with me.

You would store books inside and a headphone on top.

Hi FULLRANGEMAN and all Audio Circle members.
Mayby pocketésmall books...
My idea was to try to install an antique 40 watts light bulb
purchased from Tube Depot for around 12 USD.

I am not sure if modern and antique will make a perfect marriage?
I also have to make sure the light bulb will not melt or distortion
the plastic of the support.
I will try and let you know.

Hi dB Cooper and all Audio Circle members.
From the picture, it might look like they are stretched,
but they are not, really, honest to God.
My head is as wide as that support
and I have been using those headphones for the past 10 years,
if my head was stretching the headphones band they would be
broken by now.

They are not for sale now or tomorrow or after tomorrow... :nono:
I just want to show them and share my idea and work of art
