Tweaks That Really Work
« on: 1 Apr 2013, 11:15 am »
Over the years I've tried almost every tweak in the book, and I finally concluded that most of the commercially available tweaks have much in common with the weight loss products found in early morning informercials. They work, but only if you believe they work.

In spite of this disappointing experience I've found a few affordable under-$100 tweaks that make an immediate and noticeable difference. I prepared a summary, and you can find it here:

These are GE 5751 (50's vintage). A excellent tweak for many preamps using 12AX7's.

Awesome stuff... :thumb: Your last tweak isn't under $100 though.  :(  Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and I personally have found that if I use enough of the last most expensive tweak, it makes all the other tweaks sound that much better.

Should have known as I use them in my guitar amps.  Lower gain and noise.  I like the 5 star ones.

For the purpose of ridding your signal, those of you with conventional box speakers with right or near angles, of late arriving redundant and contaminant diffracted waveforms.

If it doesn't improve your stage and transparency to the source, you get yer money back.  I can say that for certain cause I'm the boss.

Jim knows what he is talkin about.  I have his pads on my quad 12L active and they are not coming off, never.
This tweak does not take hours to break in or burn in   , just stick em on and you will hear the improvement,
they perform as described.
