Ray,
It's easy to elongate the slots in an aluminum headshell.  You could do it with a little knife or mini file.  You probably only need a couple of mm on the outside slot.  Aluminum is soft and easily worked.

neo sadly it is a composite shell with slots for the screw heads. I will try and stop by the local vintage shop and see what they have in head shells. Oh and it is not my turntable.

I have been sticking carts on arms many times.. All i do is guesstimate where it should go.
Never had any problems.
Maybe I should call my method: "Schrodinger's Cat method."
(I do try to line it up good and proper..)

But then you could never be 100% certain if your cartridge was alive or dead.

Bought a near identical to stock headshell, but it is heavier with longer slots. Still not long enough though. But closer to the 215mm technics arm loefgren A alignment.

Got to say the sound is still amazing. Azimuth is off, overhang is off, still amazing. Love vinyl.

Don't know what kind of table you're talking about, but some arms with removeable headshells have azimuth adjustment.  Look under the arm tube just behind the headshell tightening collar.  If there are 2 tiny set screws there you should be able to loosen them a little and reset azimuth.
