Here is a pair of Quad ESL 989 speakers. Please see the photos for the very very good cosmetic condition. Each speaker does have some small smudges in the top caps and at the rear of the bases. The white dots in the photos are dust motes, not marks on the speakers. Each speaker does have 2 small holes in the grill cloth. See the pics! They are a real 8/10!
Both of these speakers have been fully re-built and tested by THE Quad shop on the East Coast. QS and D. One speaker was fully rebuilt with 6 new panels about 14 months ago. The other speaker was re-built with 5 new panels on March 14, 2013. One original bass panel tested like new and was saved in the second speaker. Receipts are available. QS and D will also be glad to verify the re-build status of these 989s. They are basically new speakers. They are priced close to the Audiogon BB average even though they have been fully rebuilt!

These are used speakers and carry NO warranty of any kind. They will not arrive DOA because they work.
Original packing is not included. Local pick up is highly recommended but Craters and Freighters can build cartons if you need to have them shipped.
Each speaker and base weighs 55 lbs. without box or packing. They stand 52" tall on the bases.. They are 26" wide and 12.75" deep.
If you live in the Atlanta area, I will even bring them to you. Delivery is an option withing a 500 mile radius of Atlanta for a fee.
Paypal users will pay the 2.9% fees they charge me. I much prefer MO or checks ( after they clear).
