Soooo...no one is watching March Madness, then?
« on: 25 Mar 2013, 06:29 am »
Can't believe there's no thread concerning March Madness!  Seriously, does no one care?  I'm not a huge college B-ball fan but I do like Duke and greatly respect Coach K.  We've got a bracket going at work and I'm doing it, more just a social thing really.  Lots of big upsets!  Gonzala and Georgetown didn't do me any favors! :duh:

Not trying to stir any trouble but I find March Madness boring to watch. But maybe if I had one of these new Sharp 80 inch LED Tvs below, I might change my mind.

I'm watching! :thumb: Compared to the NBA, the NCAA playoffs are much more exciting in fact it's some of the best competition in all of sports. The way these guys fly around the court and dive into stands is a sight to behold.  The regular season pro game is boring and lacking in emotion.

Granted the pros have  the best talent but the top 20 college teams aren't far behind. Many of the pros are drafted because they can fill a particular niche peculiar to the pro game and not necessarily because they have the best all around game.

I'm loving it!!  I always do.  These kids play with such passion.  It is their chance at some real exposure on a National level.  They all know that this is it.  Only 1 to 2% of these guys will go into the NBA.  For most of the seniors this is their last "hurrah".

Doesn't get any better when an underdog plays their A** off and beats one of the big boys.  Unless of course, tht big boy who gets knocked off is your team.

I'm a Buckeye fan so of course I'm pumped that Ohio State has a chance to get to the final four.

Hell, I still remember when Lorenzo Charles came out of nowhere to dunk the last shot that gave North Carolina State with Coach Jimmy Valvano the win over heavily favored Houston who had the twin towers along with Clyde the Glyde Drexler.

Go Bucks!!

I'm primarily a Duke fan, and it they don't win it all I wouldn't mind seeing Kansas win.  My bracket is looking pretty decent right now, I'm in the #2 spot, but obviously there's a lot of playin' to go!

Watching as much as I have time for.  This and the college bowl season are my 2 favorite times of year.

the best thing here in chicago about the tournament is the local vasectomy clinic advertises a march madness special on all the local sports stations. the idea is you can save some money and have a great excuse to get out of work to watch the games.

Rock chalk Jayhawk KU.  hahahaha.  I did watch the last against NC and Roy Williams.  This Friday's game against the Wolverines will be epic.  All the way Kansas since my days as a graduate student in Kansas.  And, I do see myself as a fan of decent audio....somewhat obsessed with equipment but becomes more of a music lover as of late.

If it's a close game I'll watch it the last 5 minutes or so but other than that basketball is boring and repetitive. I'd rather listen to music with my free time.

That is what my Father-In-Law says about both basketball and baseball.  I do find it interesting that he is glued to the TV watching every golf tournament that he can find.

I'm a Duke grad, so basketball is my religion. But the game against MSU will be tough since Tom Izzo always has his teams well-prepared for the tournament, as will Louisville (presumably) if Duke survives MSU.

Watching Louisville/Oregon game.  Audio is my Beyer T1 headphone.  The T1's are so good that you can hear (and feel) the ball hitting the rim and the ball bouncing on the hardwood floor.  And yes, I'm a March Madness fan. :D

I am watching parts of many games.

Excited about Michigan (the Canadian kid shooting tons of 3's grew up about 20 miles from my house), and Witchita State.

I have no bracket in the race, just some great hoops being played as always.

Syracuse fan here. Their zone defense keeps on getting better with each game. Michigan looks like they have a potent offense. It should be interesting.
