I've decided I want to have a slightly smaller (IPad mini or slightly smaller) than my IPad 2 , tablet to be used for nothing else than be my music server remote control. If I could spend a bit less than what an IPad mini is going for that'd be great, but it has to be able to run MPAD . ( or is the mini my best choice ?)

mPad and mPod only runs on iOS. there are other clients though, for a full list you can look here:

check out mpdroid in the google play store. i use this at home and at our coffee shop to control mpd. works great. new version released yesterday has nice features added.
