Lone wolf -- Very interesting to see such a large tour. I sent my JM BlueBerry "prototype" on a 3 person "confirmation" tour last December. It worked out rather well. I would definitely consider a similar thing as IRD here on AC with our BlueBerry and/or Peach preamps.

I'd want to develop some kind of promotion around it though. Something to add some incentive and make it a bit of fun too.

Let me float the idea right here, and perhaps I'll start a new thread. If anyone reading this thread is interes ...
Sounds good Mark !! When your ready for a tour, post it in the Market Square . Thats the circle for all manufacturers with news and business offerings.
"Some kind of promo"...Will we be getting free blueberries or peaches with each audition? :o [/list:u]

Hey there Mark,
First off, welcome to AC!!
I like what you've done/ where you're going with the whole juicy analogy. I went through industrial design school in san francisco a few years ago and I must say, as the someone alluded to, it is easy if not totally natural to be influenced by ones surroundings enough to reflect a design scheme or certain poetry to an object you are creating. I was always the first to do some sort of retro piece, so I appreciate the use of wood for a change. Retro means something different every decade and the 70's and 80's havent really made their return yet in the audio industry. It could possibly be alittle too soon for the 80's for the mainstream market unless done right. When I see your piece I am reminded of the relatively recent memphis movement in furniture...which could go somewhere..It was one of my modern faves in a way. I dont know if their are any other ID guys out there who might be willing to offer just honest feedback or work with you on some other level. If you ever want/need to bounce design ideas off of anyone, it is my field so dont hesitate, just PM me. I often miss taking part in constructive criticism.. Aside from that, I am down for a tour also!!
best regards,
beat

Welcome Mark!

Given that I still have a 2270 up and running and an Avatar, I guess I'm somewhat in the retro camp :D     I'll definitely PM you about the tour.

A word of advice though, given the large contingent of NY'ers 'round here (Loanwolf and Co.) I'd steer clear of naming product after the razzberry.

Ha ha - - Yes, I ruled out any form of Raspberry product name in the beginning based on, well, raspyness not being a good thing.

BTW, the web site has been updated with the Peach information if anyone wants to get the details.

Ummm, I think I was supposed to only post that in MarketPlace. Oh well...

Hi 'Juicy' Mark and all, I did post this discussion over in Market Square as it veered from 'gee, look what's new' to a bit of an advertisement.

Not that it is bad, necessarily, and we welcome you (Mark) to AudioCircle, but this topic is now better suited in Market Square.

Thanks,

TheChairGuy / Moderator Audio Central  :D
