For sale is a matched pair of Von Gaylord Audio Nirvana IV 110 watt per channel 6550 based monoblock power amplifiers with 6SN7 input tubes. These are the latest iteration of the long standing Nirvana and they are the best sounding amps I've had in my system. These have everything I was looking for: warmth, harmonic richness, quiet operation, low heat, great dynamics, extension on both ends, highly detailed, superb soundstage and imaging. Far better than the other 6550/KT88 I've had experience with: McIntosh MC275 and VTL ST-150. Pure Class A solid state amps like the Pass Labs XA-30 and Luxman M600A have been described as the most tube-like solid state amps out there. Well I've had both of those amps and the Nirvanas approach that line from the other side with much better results. Tube guys know there is no solid state substitute for the tube sound.
They were just serviced by Von Gaylord Audio with new standard Ruby 6550 power tubes and will also come with new Ruby 6SN7 input tubes. THE SHUGUANG CV-181z INPUT TUBES IN THE PICTURES ARE NOT INCLUDED.
They are in great condition save for some lightly darkened spots on the faces, so I am conservatively rating them 7/10.
Single-ended RCA inputs only, no XLR balanced.
