SOLD I'm regretfully selling my dream amp as I need the money.

I commissioned it from Gary over 2 years ago and he made it in good time, it sounded fantastic but the power supply failed quickly and I was without it for 2 years waiting for a new power supply to be developed.

Finally the amp is rebuilt with the new power supply Gary is using which is completely different to the old version. It's much better and absolutely reliable.

I have the amp back in my possession and it works perfectly and sounds amazing with all the holographic sound staging and natural tones that I have been missing with my T amp.

The amp has a Cocobolo face plate that Gary made for me, 5 inputs and a remote volume control also made from Cocobolo. There are terminals for 4 or 8 ohm speakers.

It makes 17 watts per channel into 4 or 8 ohms and my Super V speakers only need about half of max volume to achieve the highest volumes that I listen to.

It comes with the tubes Gary sent, 4 x JJ EL84 and 4 x JJ E88CC.

You can use any 6BQ5 or EL-84 type power tubes, and any 6DJ8 in the front end tubes (6922, 7308, Russian 6h23 or 6n1p).

Power comes from any 12 volt battery or DC power supply. A car or motorbike battery or any small SLA battery etc. works great. I have also used the "Supply" setting on a CTek charger and noticed no difference to sound quality from a quick listen.

Asking $2500 Price drop to $1800 USD SOLD shipped worldwide. That's more than $1000 less than it has cost me all up.

Post here, PM or Email me with any questions.

Thanks,

Steve.

I just realized 2 of the pics aren't showing! I took these a couple weeks ago to show the front in different lighting, and the back panel:

FWIW, a battery powered pre-amp is one of the best, quietest pre-amps you can own. I have a different brand of one, and wouldn't part with it. DODD has been around for awhile, but this one is the most attractive one I've seen yet.    Greg

Thanks Greg, it is a great amp and dead quiet. If it doesn't sell soon I'll just have to put it back in my system and keep it :)

how would you connect this direct to the Ctek charging unit??  I really like the LOOK of this piece of gear but could not have car battery sitting in my living room

Thanks guys. Jeff, I had the C Tek on my bottom shelf, with the wires running up to the amp, very easy.
