FS: SME 309 tonearm: $1k obo. SOLD

I'll be listing my SME 309 tonearm on A'gon shortly but thought I'd give folks here a shot at it first.  Great arm, full adjustability, including azimuth at the headshell. See specs and details here: http://www.sme.ltd.uk/content/Series-300-1493.shtml.   Good condition, works flawlessly, minor scratching of the painted number, light marking where the rest grips the arm. Can send pics if interested. I used it happily up to this week when I replaced it on my table with a long-desired SME V, comes with original Van den Hul tonearm cable (din to RCA). The V is a better arm but the comparison shows me how close the 309 gets. Have original box and manual, alignment protractor and HTA key. PP and shipping extra but should not be expensive, imagine <$20 insured CONUS, will charge only exact shipping cost to your location from Texas.

Best

Still here, and still cheaper than any listed on A'gon currently or recently. Same arm just sold on E-bay for $1100 without the VhD tonearm cable.

Good for you, I love when the price sold is included in the final post. Too often the price is removed and the word "SOLD" entered in the ad.

Thank you -- I agree -- these are data points that are really useful to other sellers and one of the few reasons I subscribed to the A'gon Blue Book for years (though on some items it's frustratingly patchy). Recently, I've not sold on A'gon so I am doubly pleased to sell this via AC -- and to a relative newbie as well who proved really easy to work with on final arrangements. Even better, he told me this morning he loves the arm, so everyone wins. OK, time to kill this thread I guess. Over and out!
