SMPS standard, Voltikus optional. And as you saw on the photo, it also does DSD256 (like the ExaSound and the new Kallista from Gryphon though no software for that exists yet). The relay-switched resistor matrix attenuator with remote control "accurate to 0.05dB" is inherited from the Gold. The sheet also talks of a custom USB Quad DAC for 132dB dynamic range and there are analog inputs for "true preamp functionality". And of course the software control panel and automatic internet-based device upgradeability come with it too -:)

Did you hear about a release date?

*I have heard Mid-July release from Antelope.

At the Munich show Antelope announced the Platinum (Euro 3.000 with standard SMPS) that'll do 64 and 128DSD. It looks nearly identical to the Gold except for the front where the headphone sockets are. This one can set the output voltage for each 6.3mm jack discretely...

Did you hear if the Voltikus will be compatible with the Platinum?

Sounds like October release now.

I'm asking Antelope about this, regarding the GOLD:

Do you have an Aurelic Vega or an Antelope Platinum?

VERY tempted to pickup a Vega and run into my current Gold/Voltikus balanced. But think I'm going wait on the Platinum. I'm poking around asking closest dealer if I can buy w/o Voltikus.

Thank you for your message.

For now what we know is that the Voltikus for Zodiac Platinum cannot be used with the other Zodiacs.

We will get back to you as soon as we know more.

Ouch!

That is most unfortunate...

Plan B is to just get a Vega and see if it sounds good enuff direct and thus enabling you to offload the Gold.

Believe me I am tempted to do so...

I guess I should also be looking at the Invicta if considering the Platinum.

Invicta is very good as well.

Then you have the tube guys too, like Lampi and Vad...both have DSD....but pricier than the Vega, but different sound too.
