Selling my 2-week old TEAC UD-501 DAC. I have really enjoyed DSD and hi-resolution audio through this DAC in the couple weeks I have had it. It also has a decent headphone amp inside, although I have preferred to use an external one to drive my more demanding headphones (HD-650, I'm looking at you!). The sound is accurate, clear and solid. The USB implementation is also very good, using the XMOS chipset for asynchronous communication. It also has XLR outputs, single ended outputs, as well as two TOSLINK and two Coax inputs. DSD is streamed to the DAC natively or using using DSD over PCM encapsulation, which is supported in Foobar and JRiver, as well as your favorite hi-rez playing Mac apps.

http://audio.teac.com/product/ud-501/This thing is an awesome bang for the buck. I'm selling only because I'm consolidating to upgrade my main system with 1 very nice DAC. I need to recoup the money, otherwise, I'd keep it!
The unit is operationally and physically perfect. It's just been out of the box for two weeks. No marks, scratches, nothing. I'd call it a 10/10 other than it's been out of the box. Still has that new DAC smell (as well as the squeaky fresh feeling that new electronics have!)! I didn't open the manuals, cables or anything from the original box, so it would be like getting a brand new one of these for $100 off!. They're selling for $849 everywhere else.
Asking $old shipped/insured within the CONUS. Includes all the original stuff and will double box for you.

*Edit Note: On the picture with the closeup of the volume knob, there is a mark that looks like a scratch - this is a piece of lint, the unit does not have any scratches or marks.
