Same here Tim, and welcome to Audio Circle.  Now the hard part, you have to guess which of the above guys I am.

We never did have the IPA judging, that was the main reason I showed up (kidding).  My favorite of the ones I didn't bring was the Grand Cru Winter Reserve from Flying Fish Brewing Company.  Just a great go to beer, not too much of any one thing, a nice balance of hops, malt, bitterness, fruit notes, I really liked it.  The second favorite was the Raison D'Etre from Dog Fish Head Inn, a nice Belgian-style brown ale.  I almost brought this one, but went with two other DFH ales as we were told to bring IPAs.  I did feel it my duty to sample as many different brands as possible, however I wouldn't stoop to trying the Costco brand, despite testimonials that it was pretty good.

I wonder what the audio systems sounded like.....

Had a great time at Gary's today for the audio gathering!  Loved the look of sliced tree trunk baffle for the Tang Band drivers!

I brought the Victory HopDevil IPA, but I was drinking the Oskar Blues Scotch Ale!  That is my new favorite next to the McEwan's Scotch Ale.  Not an IPA guy.

Hope Gary does another one in a few months.  It was a fine day indeed!

The speakers on the first floor where cool. Curious to hear them after they are built with better wood or upgraded with a better driver.

Didn't get a chance to fully hear the phono pre-amp when it was on the second floor. Half the people were not listening but talking to each other.

The Surreal Sound speakers were great.

Eatting at Ledo's was enjoyable. Best pasta I had in a while.

PS:
I told ya'll he would have all that extra beer.

Gary Dewes of Border Patrol explains the differences between his and stock power supplies

He played various tracks with his power supply and stock.  The differences were dramatic.
With his power supply the attack was incredible, transparency was much greater, everything was more there

Great meeting you at the gathering, Tim.  Sorry for the tardy response.  It was a busy week but better late than never.

It was a pleasure having you and your wife over.  I love getting together with people who appreciate music and wine. :thumb: :wine:

Many thanks to Gary Gill for hosting this unique event.  It was a real pleasure to get to talk to all the AC guys there and hear the insights from Pierre Sprey, David Berning, Gary Dewes, and Bill Hutchins.  I hope I didn't forget anyone.  Rumor has it Gary won't need to stock up on IPAs for awhile!

Been talking with Gary and there are plans for other get togethers and the 2013 CAF continues to gain momentum. Vendors are securing room at a pretty goo pace
