Humorous e-mail from a CD merchant

CD Baby is the nearly exclusive source for Martha Wainwright's newest CD, so I placed an order. I was surprised and amused to receive the following e-mail from them:

"Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure
it was in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money
can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Wednesday, June 30th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as 'Customer of the Year'. We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Guess you didn't receive the bill yet for the "Special Handling" charges......

Guess they don't change their e-mail message very often; I got that one twice in the last year! And I thought it was only me.

They've got lots of hard to find stuff by some cool artists. One track from the Metallicus came from a CD I bought there.

Still waiting on the caddies (our mail can be erratic--sometimes lightning fast, sometimes glacially slow). I've been playing with some other toys, so it's no big deal that they're not here yet.

One good thing about CD Baby is that their shipping is reasonable--just $2.50 for the one EP. I always hate to find a decent deal on a CD or LP only to discover the shipping is going to be $6.95 or something

Like Rob said, CD Baby has a lotta hard to find stuff. Many artists are relatively unknown though.

One thing I like about CD Baby is that their song samples give about 2 minutes of the tune and usually there are several samples from each cd. That's enough to get a flavor of the cd if you're trying to decide to buy or not. I hate those places that give you 3.2 second samples.
