Was gonna go with a SSD Hard drive however, they are expensive so I looked into the SSD+HDD option from Seagate Momentus,

Now, can anyone share their expertise and guidance?  I'm confused as to what to use or what will work better for my storage needs.  I have a 2009/10 Macbook Pro 2.53ghz Duo Core processor, upgraded from 4gb memory to its max of 8gb memory.  The hard drive capacity is 250 but I'm almost out of space.   Looking for maximum performance/speed etc.  the SSD+HDD sounds likes the go to place but my understanding is that it only has 32mb cache, whereas the Western Digital has 64mb Cache which I do believe it will run faster.

That WD drive seems to be 3.5 inch, so presumably won't work for a laptop / macbook.

Unless you plan to store a boatload of music / video, the 750gb of the Seagate should tide you over for some time and be a lot faster than your current drive. Seagate has a good reputation as being one of the more reliable hard drive manufacturers. For $140 you really can't go wrong.

Thanks, they have it on sale locally for $119 the Seagate Momentus that is..    I purchased an HGST hard drive yesterday 1TB but once I was doing the cloing I was hearing loud clicking noise, the cloning stopped several times so I'm assuming that the HD came in defective so now I'm gonna invest on the Seagate
