Selectivity switch question
« on: 14 Feb 2013, 07:32 pm »
As my recent 9B as a stereo amp in the snowstorm post indicated, i recently took my 9B out of hibernation while awaiting some 5.1 system changes and decided to put into my small den system, which consists of the 9Bsst>various preamps (vintage fisher or pilot & Joule) >vintage classic 15 ohm chartwell LS35as.

The 9B is definitely overkill in this small room-as while i love the new found bass, its a little overwhelming at the moment in this room which needs acoustic treatment.  (i.e., boominess) In any event, will adjusting the input switch have any affect on this?  I would normally just do some listening tests, but I really dont want to risk any "blow outs" with the vintage chartwells.

Any comments to help on this admittedly very novice question
