9b in stereo - lovely sound in the snowstorm
« on: 10 Feb 2013, 06:20 pm »
So given the "blizzard" i decided to play around with the system and threw my 5 channel 9bsst into my two channel system for the heck of it, and because it has been sitting in the box for 6 months since coming back for a faceplate replacement.

All i can say is im a tube guy, but im really enjoying this thing.  It makes a great counterpoint to the vintage tube preamp im using. It also manhandles the warmish vintage ls35as and takes control enough to add alot more low end, to the extent i turned off my sub.  These little guys respond very differently to ss then tube power....

Im sure this circle does not need anymore bryston praise, but just wanted to give a positive shout out in a very unconventional usage.

Spinning vinyl on this thing sounds even better.....

nice job for a 10 year old "home theater" amp

Unlike tube amps, you can also leave the Bryston amp 24/7 "ON"all-year-round.   :thumb:  :thumb: :thumb:
