Snow is forecast for maybe 1 day next week, here in beautiful North Alabama.

Today, it rained early and now it's overcast and in the mid 40's.   I'll see snow here 3-5 days a season.  By "see snow", I mean I might see snowflakes.  Actual accumulation is probably 1 out of 3 events.

You are not alone, I just finished the second time and right now I am having a hot cop of tea and listening to music.
My left side neighbor is the 78 years old lady who has a big family and maybe 165 grandchildren but I am the only one that I have been cleaning her sidewalk and driveway since I bought this house which is 9 years now. Her husband died long time ago and she is sick and cannot do it herself. It is OK and I have no problem to do this as far I am not too busy but same time her son just arrived and never asked me if I need help or anything and went in the house and start changing the channels on the TV.

It is odd how this happens - a neighbour at our last house did not have a snow thrower and one morning we had a very heavy snowfall. I had to do my driveway in order to go to work as the snowplough had just left a 4' deep bank of snow at the bottom of the driveway. The next door neighbour's driveway was also buried and I quickly "blew" his out also. He never bothered to say "thanks."

Sometimes I wonder if people have just become rude, unappreciative or feel a high degree of entitlement.

Expecting 20" or so  here. I don't move any snow 'til it stops snowing. Doing otherwise doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

He may have though she was paying you for it, or he's a complete arse.  I would have said as he arrived, "Oh great, you're here, I've got an extra shovel if you need one".  Regardless, thanks to you and Laundrew for being mensches.

Just rain in the lower Jerseys so far, expecting only 1-3".

Shovelled three times so far(Whitby); to get vehicles in or out.  Will have to do it again tomorrow.  No plow yet so it's a community effort to get cars moved

Well the driveway is once again clear. Lady Laundrew felt very bad for Hector and shovelled out an area in the backyard for him to go out and have a "relaxing pee." Laundrew deeply ponders how relaxing it can be whilst  a blizzard is blowing up your bum during said process. Oh we'll, I don't want to even think about having a pee while up to your tummy in snow.

My poor big guy.

I am sure that he knows that I would never take any money. She did offer me to pay few times and my answer was never think about it.
