Audio Technica ATH-W3000ANV
« on: 8 Feb 2013, 04:42 pm »
Any Audio Technica fans here?  I recently got a pair of the ESW11Ltd's for travel and I'm really liking them.  I'm thinking about selling my Audeze LCD-2's rev 2's (not from dislike, but primarily for funds) and trying to find a pair of the ATH-W3000ANV's to replace them, and appreciate any input.

Thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy...
don't own a set myself, but have spent time with Skylab's set (from Head Fi)
driven by a vintage tube integrated.  I loved them.  Certainly not neutral, but
very musical and drop dead gorgeous!

The W3000ANV are respected headphones, indeed some people take it over the audez'e (personal preference) whats your amp/dac?

They are the red finish wood cans; I'm not sure they came in other colors.

My dac is a Meitner MA-1, and my head amp is the Trafomatic One.

Nice rig. I know the guy who builds the Trafo

The W3000 loves SS as well. I've tried the V200 and the Soloist.
