That is as it should be, Bob. A good truck is like a good pair of working boots, or a telepathic hunting dog. One in a million.

Next time I host, it will just be advertised as Scott coming to visit, driving his truck.

Just so you know, I went out this morning to find that someone stole my pickup and left this in its place

...no, really they did

Hey, that's a photo of Bob's yard!

Well, Gents, it was great to meet you all this afternoon.  The GAS is a wonderful collection of geeks - I felt very much at home with you guys.

Dave, I think you need a couple more amplifiers to complete your collection, ( just kidding - your spouse must be an angel !)

Wow - what a great tribute to American tube audio and horn-based loudspeakers.  I especially liked Dave's K-Horns and Willie's 845-based DIY tube amp - beautiful sound and craftsmanship.

I would be both honored and delighted to host the next gathering at my home in Ballwin.  The featured presentation would be 5.1 sound and (maybe) St. Louis Public Radio.  Beer and snacks on me.

Just let me know if / when you'd like to get together.

Cheers, Don Bingaman

I found a few minutes to stop by yesterday. Thanks to Dave for hosting the latest gathering  :thumb: Got to catch up with some of the GAS regulars.

Lots of great gear playing. Willies latest creation lives up his pictures. Big open SET sound coming out of Dead fish's old Altec 19s. Really nice  :thumb:

Wish I could have hung out longer, maybe next time.

Thanks Dave, Colleen and Liam for all of your work in hosting another great (as usual) get together.  It was nice seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones that will hopefully become familiar.

I think we should jump on Don's offer.  The way the weather is around here, we may be cutting grass in a month.

It was great seeing everyone.  Kent

Thanks for the feedback, guys. It was as it always is - a great pleasure to have you over for good food, music, and conversation.

Here are a few photos from the escapades...and thanks to everyone for having patience wwith a sugar-stoked Liam!

Ken, Roger, Theo, and John

Yeesuk, Adrian, Ken, and David

Todd, Mark, and Sam

Sam threatening his Fisher 70AZ

The GORGEOUS Lebens from St. Louis Stereo

Willie really knows how to spiff up a pair of 6SN7s, 2A3s, and 845s! Oh my :green:

Like everyone else, Steve illustrates the favorite seat in the house was smack dab in front of Charlie's to-die-for Buffalo chicken wing spread.

Bill, Steve, Joe, Ken, Kent, Scott and Bob ponder whether Tiny Tim or Lady GaGa put on a better freak.

That looks like a great gathering, right there.
Way too many faces I don't know though. It's been too long.  :(

We set up the Leben CS300x and Leben phono preamp with the Snells in the back bedroom, and then did a St. Louis premier of the new to the world Max Load album, a collection of their singles and tapes from 1979 thru to about 1982. Belleville's best punk sounded quite tasty, and then Mike Jaffe recounted what it was like playing bass and all that, back in the day.
