Well, leave it to the weather to decide that we will get our first ice storm two days before the event. We will play this one by ear, as we will not willingly put people in danger. That said, we are on a snow route street that get diligently plowed - we are the main drag into Jefferson Barracks Cemetary from Lindbergh and Lemay Ferry - so I don't anticipate any problems getting to our house from 270/255. The route from 255 to Telegraph to Sappington Barracks is easy peasy; it's the getting to that point that may be troublesome.

Our driveway will be off limits to all except for dropping off gear and parking for our octagenarians. Sappington Barracks Road will be very well plowed and salted, and there is good flat on-street parking that can hold everyone and more, both half a block before and half a block after our house on the NORTH side of the street. No one will get stuck, or need to fight hills if you park on Sappington Barracks at the south end of Buckley Road.

Although unplanned, this will be an exceptional opportunity to hear how EL 84/6BQ5 tube amps sound. Mike and Charlie will have their extraordinary Leben CS300 in play, Sam will (hopefully) make it up from Springfield with his restored Fisher 70a tube monoblocs, Kent will have his brand new Shuguang EL 84 integrated, and Willie will be spinning tunes on his fresh build Blueboy. I have an Eico HF81 or a Madison Fielding 320 EL 84 tube amp in reserve if travel arrangements don't work out.
