BDP-2 Digital Player as control device.
« on: 1 Feb 2013, 10:43 am »
James,

Would it be possible to have the BDP-2 control other Bryston components?   That is using the a USB port BDP-2 to control another component (or other components) via RS-323.  It could be nice to have a web based interface for the control of your Bryston Hifi.

Regards

Ron

Hi Ron,

Its something that we have looked into in the past and have created the software to control a B100 or B135 via RS232 (serial) port of a BDP-1 or BDP-2.  There are still more steps to be taken (currently not being actively pursued), i.e. control more then a bryston integrated amp/preamp, control devices that do not make use of RS232 (i.e. use of IR) and equipment made by other manufacturers.

Cheers,
Chris
