Well I replaced the cap and it works - no smoke or fire.  But the left channel's audio is distorted.  :(

Probabaly a good idea to trace back and see if a resistor or something else has been affected-don't know how complicated the circuit is, but likely another part has also been afected. Sorry about your luck. :(

there is a good chance damage has occured and this is certainly a pain in the arse to fix because it can affect a lot of things and if you dont know what and how to diagnose and fix it your basically going to have to replace 'everything' :P

i am STILL in the process of fixing my amp too its not really very easy or fun.
