Highly rated Audiophile USB to SPDIF converter which I just purchased from A'Gon.
The unit is in LIKE NEW condition and comes w/ Original Box & Windows CD. (Mac OSX Native)

Unfortunately it was purchased to be mated with an older PPC Powermac (OSX 10.5.
and the Dual XMOS chips that make this such an outstanding piece is not compatible with USB on computers made before than 2006.
(probably should have found that little nugget on google before I bought it).

It did test out great on a 2009 Mac Pro in my office, but that is already set-up with an Apogee Duet, so need for this.

This is a great little box, I've been using one for about 3 months and it has had a significant impact, a major upgrade from my Mapletree moddified M2Tech Hiface.

I'm pretty happy with my mapleshade modded Hiface, and was looking to upgrade with the Stello,
but my trusty PPC Powermac G5 said no. I don't want to replace the Mac, had it for too many years now, and it's a great music server.
Hoping someone will be able to use the Stello.

I'm an Apple guy all the way back to an Apple II+ and I think the G5 was great.  Will any of the good players, i.e. Pure Music, Audirvana, etc., work on PPC?
