VTL tiny triodes: anyone familiar with
« on: 8 Feb 2003, 11:48 pm »
I'm looking at a used pair of VTL Tiny Tiodes that output 25 watts triode and 45 in tetrode.   Anybody have or have heard these?  I like that they are small and would unobtrusive in my small listening room.  Of course I'm not sure they would drive my VMPS 626 ribbons efficiently.  They're about the money I can spend right now on an amp and my system definately needs some sweetness.  I'm just worried about dynamics.

I think they MAY be enough if you ran them tetrode mode.  The few triode amps I have heard I didn't really care for though so take that FWIW.
