Does anyone know if it is possible to run HDMI video and optical audio in conjunction with the latest mac mini server? My main system must is a 2.1 channel system that must do double duty TV and audio. I would like to hook up my V-Dac to improve sound a bit.

Here's what I am running:

Mac-Mini
HK AVR-354
pe-out to Dodd Audio SDS-254 (sweeet amp!)
Soundfield Monitor 1
Selah TC12 sub

Happy Friday to the wonderful AC community,
Paul

Yes.  If you want to do it simultaneously, you can create an aggregate virtual device in Audio MIDI setup.

Hey man. I'm considering a Mac Mini as dedicated music server, and I wanted to know, do you have Toslink -> DAC working in sync with HDMI -> TV (or receiver)? I read through that Apple Support Forum thread, kinda gave me pause, as this is the configuration I want to try first. TIA.
