My grandfather passed away nearly a year ago.  I was home for Christmas and my grandmother asked me to go through his workshop and take anything I wanted.  I found 2 boxes of tubes that he must have pulled from a Baldwin electric organ.  I've got a whole pile of 12AX7s and 12AU7s, a few 6L6s, and some others.  I haven't built any tube gear.  Any recommendations on starter projects?  Maybe a phono preamp (MM) or headphone amp?

A tubed active crossover would be a good way to use up a lot of them

7 - 12AX7A (Baldwin)
68 - 12AU7A (Baldwin)
4 - 6L6  (Baldwin)
2 - 5U4  (1 Baldwin, 1 RCA)
1 - 9AU7 (Philco in an RCA box)
1 - 6197 (GE)

That'll make quite a few Coronets or Aikidos.

No tester.  None of them are obviously damaged but I'll just have to wait until I use them to find out if they are functional.
