Up for sale is a Modwright Oppo BDP-83 SE Nuforce Edition, with the full solid state modification. The cost to upgrade from Modwright was 1500.00 dollars. All original packing, manual, remote, and paperwork from Modwright are included. The XLR mod and fan/clock modifications were also competed on this unit.
This unit sounds simply incredible, not only as a CD/DVD/SACD audio player in two channels, it also sounds outstanding via the analog out for multi channel.
All functions work correctly, and the latest firmware is installed. Unit is an 8 of 10 cosmetically, and 10 of 10 functionally. The one issue is that the Tos-Link cover door has fallen off, so I always use the coaxial digital out when required.
The ONLY reason for the sale is that I’m replacing the unit with the BDP-105 to take advantage of the unique features it (the 105) provides. Was going to keep this for multi-channel audio only, but the equipment rack is running out of room.
