I ordered the Basis TWO back in October and in the interim found an amp that has tremendous synergy with my high efficiency system. The amp is single ended and is easy to drive with a passive preamp. I was hoping the Purity would still be a good match but I don't need a balanced linestage and it turns out I don't need the gain. I just received the preamp and I am selling it because it simply isn't an electrical match for my system. I am taking a bath on the unit for a quick sale to not interrupt the Purity guys sales. They retail for $7500 and he is selling them for $6250. I will sell for $4900 and include a pair of Sophia Electric 6sn7's. See my audiogon feedback (same monikor) and buy with confidence. The economy must really be bad. If I had listed these 2 years ago at this giveaway price, I would have had people clamoring to buy them within the hour I listed them.

I'm still completely surprised this preamp isn't already playing in someone's home. Local folks in Atlanta should come listen. To me, this is like when I owned the Dude except a ton of features and conveniences and no hum!
