Hi there, I have been using this platter on my custom table, it's in good shape and shows wear as all aluminum does with use.  The bearing is in 9/10 shape as it's used, not new.
I am upgrading to the VPI Super Platter and need to sell this.

retails for $900! Asking $600 with shipping :thumb:

This is a great way to upgrade your SCOUT and ARIES Tables!!!

Comes with original box and packing material.  Plus shipping....

If interested, let me know...

Thanks

no flash...so it looks darker than it really is.

I thought the Classic already had the Super Platter? What's the difference?
And BTW, this platter/bearing will also fit on the HW-19! You will, however, need to raise the arm, either with a Super Armboard (used only) or some shims that VPI might still sell. Just expanding your sales base there, Sonny...

Thanks Paul...i appreciate it.

and no, the Classic Aluminum Platter is not the Super Platter.  I am getting the Super Platter that is acrylic, steel, acrylic... it's no longer available.

I assume that this sold, yes? Can this platter also work on the HW-19 Mk III?

Sonny

yes, the platter is gone, the Classic table, however, is still available!

Sonny,

Need some platter advice:

Thinking about replacing my Aries 1 original platter (non acrylic) with the Classic Aluminum Platter and Bearing that VPI is currently selling.

Is the Super Platter you got better than the Classic?

U think I should go for the Classic or just keep the original Aries?

I used a Super Platter for years on my Scoutmaster and now, Super Scoutmaster Rim Drive. I recently purchased a Classic Platter based on recommendations from some other Super Scoutmaster owners.

IMHO the Classic platter sounds better than the Super Platter, at least it does on the SSM rim drive. The sound is faster and more dynamic.  The Super platter sounds kind of slow and dark in comparison.

My Super Platter now resides in the closet.

Tom, I think I agree....you see on tables that are inherently a "little" on the warm side the Super Platter is a bad choice.  My DIY Plinth is all steel, so, having the classic platter on it, and a reflective room, it's a very detailed and transparent combination, plus the Shelter 901 and ZYX R-1000 Airy...all makes the combination too much of a good thing!  That's why I am going to go with the HRX Super Platter!

Hope that works out well.  Will let you know when it's all set up!
