This is the original, not the new Platinum 1. I think this one uses Mahogany, which IIRC is more desirable than the current wood they use.
I have the original wood box and instructions.
This is a great cartridge for entry into the vinyl world. If you ever want to move up the Grado line to other carts, they offer a generous trade in program -- at least they did a few years ago.
