Guys:
Need advice on some treats for a NYE picking party. We all get together and play (mostly Bluegrass) till
midnight. It's a bring a muchie when you come deal. In the past I've made pimento cheese but
want to try something different. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try blue cheese, mayo, and watermelon rind pickle. I know it sounds strange but beats pimento cheese five ways from sunday. You can experiment with the proportions. Use a food processor to make a semi-smooth mixture. regards

Not a dip but good munchies.
Spread some cream cheese on some Buddig Beef or your choice of similar thinly sliced meat. Wrap that around a Gherkin pickle. Spear with toothpics and slice into bit size pieces. Not hard to make.
A little more work:
Soak some water chestnuts in Soy Sauce overnight. Wrap them in bacon. Broil on 425 until the bacon looks done.
