Absolutely I'll be coming by!  My wife and I were actually in the area last month but we were picking up her parents so it wasn't a good time for indulging this hobby, but I may be returning later this summer for a wedding.  If so, I'll let you know.  You should have all the new toys all nice and ready by then.

So, what finish did you go with?  I know my guess, but I want to see if I'm right.

Also, have you done any of the upgrades on your MC-12 to version 3, and if so, are you considering version 4?  Just curious.  The MC-8 is still on version 1.

Well, if you guessed "African Ebony MLS" for all the speakers, then you guessed...incorrectly.  I chose "Piano Black" for all speakers including the sub.    I like the way it looks and also, it will "disappear" in a completely dark HT.

Also, have you done any of the upgrades on your MC-12 to version 3, and if so, are you considering version 4? Just curious. The MC-8 is still on version 1.

I haven't done the Version 3 upgrade because I didn't feel it was worth the asking price to get auto channel balancing (plus the other stuff it included).  Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I have not kept up too much with what is going on over at SMR, so I'm really out of the loop on upgrades to the MC-12.  Just yesterday I was thinking I need to get back over there to see what's going on.  We've been so busy house-hunting these past few months that until recently, I just haven't had as much time online as I would have liked.  But now I'm trying to make up for lost time.

Well, actually...

African Ebony is about my favorite veneer, but the one I guessed was piano black.  HA!

The version 4 upgrade for the Lex has room correction, but it requires version 3 and the mics.  It's also pretty pricey!

I figured you would guess I'd order piano black - heck, I guess I stuck to my roots a little bit (a little DefTech humor...)

Tomorrow I'm going to check out the Version 4 upgrade but I'm not convinced I'll do any more than read about it.  Have you heard anything about it yet?

All I've seen on version 4 is what I've read on SMR.  I'm not sure that there is anything official other than the introductory prices, but plenty of speculation.  Oh yeah, and Lexicon is coming out with a receiver, too.
