High output moving iron with nude fine line tip. This cart has a sweet detailed high end and full bass. At 47K it's back of the hall. With a total capacitance load of 300 - 400pF, treble comes forward. Load at 52K (approx) and accomplish the same. The slightly distant perspective can be very appealing especially on systems a little bright or forward. Cost $190 NOS from WM Thakker, this cart has very low hrs and is in mint condition. This is one of the recommended carts on the lenghty MM/MI thread on Audiogon. If you have either resistance or capacitance loading on your phono pre, you can easily tune the cart to your source material or system. I'd like to keep this cart but I have to thin the heard (pardon the pun).
